Show Garden - Westonbirt 2002
It was an honour to be part of the first Westonbirt Garden Festival in 2002, and the site we were given was amongst some beautiful fir trees, so it gave me the idea to be inspired by Ibsen and the Norwegien Fjords.
The whole idea is the the clear pipes wrapped around the trunk of the tree carrying the water upwards, was to represent the sap rising. Then the water dripped through the crystal chadaliers which glistened in the sunshine, and fell onto the the crushed glass cones of various sizes below, representing the ice glaciers melting due to the early signs of global warming. This design was completed whilst I was at Woodhams.
